Henley Bank High School

Head Students

The role of Head Student is fast becoming an integral part of our character education. As part of the sought element of the character curriculum, our Head Student is expected to become the positive influence of character on our younger students in the school. Our Head Students will support Senior Leaders in upholding a strong student leadership programme and represent the school for visits and events. This is a fantastic stepping stone for our many future leaders in the school.

Head Students

Rosie L - Year 12

My name is Rosie and I am a student in Year 12 at henley Bank High School. I was a student at Henley Bank before joining the sixth form too, and I have watched both the school and my peers grow with confidence and ambition, which are some values I think are very important to have. I am very proud to represent the school, as a whole, and I look forward to more events and activities I can take part in.

I hope to gain and develop skills such as confidence and ambition, through getting involved in the many activities and events which take place at Henley Bank and public speaking in front of the year groups. I hope to be the link between the students and teachers, whereby I can take ideas from students, and report back to the teacher. This will make a huge difference as students are free to come to me and other parts of the leadership team with new ideas, not previously discussed between teachers.

Kennedy S - Year 12

I have always had a passion for different acting and directing performances as well as
a love for literature , but on a broader scale I would say I'm a determined ambitious person. I am able to help and support people in multiple different ways , if it is just general advice or tutoring, I am always willing to help and support people around me. Of which allows me to build stronger connections of trust and friendships.

In this role I am hoping to consolidate factors of legacy more significantly within the entire school community. If this is in regards to fun Friday ,legacy competitions, or club, it allows a built connection inside and out of the main school to be expressed in student's legacies. This is due to a massive part of Henley bank high school is your legacy ,I intend on showing the importance of a strong community and your ambition for the entire school.

Head of Colleges

Sharjeel A - Year 12. Host College

My name is Sharjeel, and I am currently studying A-Level: Maths, Physics and Economics at Henley Bank Sixth Form. I'm highly competitive and love playing sports like football, while also pushing my limits through challenges like the Ten Tors. And I’m always looking for new opportunities to grow, whether in academics, sports, or personal challenges.

As Head of Holst College, I aim to inspire and support students in making the most of their time at school. I want to strengthen our college community by encouraging teamwork, leadership, and participation in school events. My goal is to ensure every student feels motivated and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Luke J - Year 12. Dowty College

I am a hardworking and curious student who enjoys learning new things, especially in my A level subjects which are Maths, Economics are History. Outside of school I enjoy playing football and spending time catching up with my friends. Also, I always try and do my best in everything that I do, whether that be in school in lessons and independent study, while also during extracurricular activities which I partake in.

One thing I hope to achieve is to create a legacy for Henley Bank- and have something proud for me to look back on when I leave. I want to encourage other students to express themselves through all aspects of school life, and take advantage of the great opportunities the school has to offer. In addition, I hope to be a role model to the students too- and present myself in a way that others can look up to.
